Main Responsibilities:
1. Under supervision, recommend manufacturers and provides specific project equipment lists within established standards and budget. Contributes information for budget development and updates. Develops
2. Check the configuration list provided by the manufacturer and make sure that the configuration can meet the technical description requirements. Give guidance on the adjustment of technical parameters according to specific requirements.
3. According to the actual situation of the Chinese market, make equipment demonstration. During equipment selection stage, give professional advice in the internal communication. Attends design team coordination meetings during all phases of the project. Advises project management and regional personnel on the need for, acquisition and appropriate use of medical equipment for assigned major construction, renovations and expansion projects.
4. Establishes a communication network between the project team, facility, regional personnel and equipment manufacturers/vendors. Works with manufacturer's representatives to obtain data and costs on equipment.
5. According to the parameters, give the guidance of optional brand models.
6. In the process of bidding, give professional guidance for technical doubtful points. In the period of pre installation, installation and acceptance stage, gives technical guidance.
7. Learns drawing review process and to work with outside architectural consultants and contractors to review drawings, identify and note design/equipment conflicts, and provide equipment specifications. Coordinates medical equipment placement on contract documents. Manage system submittals of required vendors for incorporation into project drawings.
8. Evaluates, locates and recommends equipment to be purchased for new medical facilities, major renovations and expansion of existing medical facilities. Conducts on site inventories of existing equipment. Evaluates equipment in place, identifies obsolete, inappropriate, malfunctioning or unneeded equipment, and/or reuse.
9. Ensures compliance with current international standards for equipment installation and use.
10. Formulates project equipment recommendations by preparing a departmental, room by room list which includes all equipment needs for optimum functioning of a room, and encompasses all clinic, hospital and support areas. Manages budget for medical equipment according to the cost model. Provides value engineering without compromising patient care, safety requirements, or ergonomics.
11. Facilitates meetings with medical personnel to establish appropriate placement and use of medical equipment for patient care.
12. Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable , state and local laws and regulation, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Vamed policies and procedures.
Requirements:
1.BS degree in medical/healthcare related field, or Associate Degree and equivalent experience.
2.Familiarity with computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Project, PowerPoint, Access and Excel preferred
3.Understanding of architectural and design schedules and the ability to coordinate equipment planning with building design and construction
4.Excellent English - written & verbal
5.Working knowledge of policies, practices and systems
6.Frequent use and general knowledge of healthcare industry practices, techniques, and standards
